Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
You have a patient with appointments to keep and no one to get them there. Family can’t keep taking time off work. A regular cab won’t help with the wheelchair or the transfer. And every ride you chase by phone is time taken away from patient care.
One call to NOW Shuttle in Kelowna books the trip, or the whole run of recurring appointments. We confirm the fare with you first, and the driver assists your patient door to door, both ways.
For patients who are medically stable and travel seated or in their own mobility device.

Licensed by the BC Passenger Transportation Board. Credentials your team can check.
Wheelchair vans and sedans. Ramp-equipped vans with secure tie-downs for manual and power chairs.
A transportation partner of the Province of British Columbia’s Travel Assistance Program (TAP BC).
For care teams
The trips your unit arranges most.
Built for patients with sensitive transport needs, booked by the people who plan their care.
Recurring appointments
Weekly treatments, therapy and follow-ups at the same pickup time. Book the series once instead of every ride.
Specialist and imaging appointments
Kelowna General Hospital, BC Cancer Kelowna, and specialist and imaging clinics across the city, with the return trip handled.
Discharge home
From the ward to the patient’s front door. The driver assists from the unit to the vehicle and into the home at the other end.
Manual and power chairs
Ramp-equipped vans with secure tie-downs. Give us the chair’s make and model and we confirm the fit before the trip is booked.
Door to door, both ways
From the door of the home or care facility to the door of the unit, and back. Not the curb, not the parking lot.
Fare confirmed before booking
We confirm the trip details and the fare with you before the ride is booked, so there are no surprises for the patient or the family.
Recurring appointment trips
Book the series once. Stop rebooking every ride.
Weekly treatments, therapy sessions, follow-ups and checkups. Give us the patient’s schedule once and we run every trip at the same pickup time, so your unit is not on the phone before each appointment.

What patients and families say
Reviews from people who have ridden with us.
We hired NOW Shuttle to transport my mother-in-law from her long term care home in Ashcroft, to the family ranch for funeral. We were having a tough time finding a vehicle to accommodate transport due to her being in a Broda (bigger than most) wheelchair… Zia was absolutely wonderful with her!

Now Shuttle saved me by getting me to an important medical appointment. The van was spotless. The driver Mike was punctual and friendly. My appointment went longer than expected and there was no complaint from the driver… You also went above and beyond sending me a form so I can look into direct billing through my disability.

Fantastic accessible transportation option. Seamless transport for a situation that otherwise would have been really difficult for my aging dad. Driver was kind, on time, and thorough. I would definitely use this option again!

What do you need from us to book?

What if the appointment runs long?
Return trips can be scheduled in advance or arranged on demand, so the patient is not stranded if the appointment runs over.
